Audi promises greater model differentiation

Presents new design strategy

Audi has decided to implement a different design strategy focusing on “something new without braking tradition.”

Head of Audi Design, Wolfgang Egger, mentions that there will be a strong connection between technology and design. The Crosslane Coupe Concept with its Multimaterial Space Frame is the first car of this kind, and could represent the styling of the upcoming Q2.

The Ingolstadt-based auto brand is promising greater differentiation between A, R and Q model lines. Initial work will concentrate on the Q family and every future model in this lineup will adopt a more three-dimensional, single-frame grille.

The interior and exterior of upcoming models will be more closely intertwined and Audi promises that we will be able to distinguish a certain model by its interior cabin.

More details about Audi’s new design approach in the press release below.
