Twin-turbo V6 or a V8 ?
Lexus Marketing chief Brian Bolain said a V8 engine would fit inside the LF-CC concept.
Since he also mentioned that the LF-CC is “very indicative of reality” in reference to the next-gen IS, it’s speculated that Lexus is analyzing the possibility of mounting a V8 engine in the hotter version. The spindle grille will find its way on the 2014 IS F-Sport sedan, along with other styling cues seen on the LF-CC.
A previous report was indicating that the model could feature a twin-turbo V6 engine with about 450 hp (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm), making it 34 hp (25 kW) and 79 lb-ft (107 Nm) more powerful than its predecessor.
Brian Bolain also mentioned that this new more aggressive styling will be implemented on future performance models.
