Torque bumped to 850 Nm
The Porsche
911 Turbo S has received a comprehensive three-stage upgrade kit from
mcchip-dkr.
Described as being a "demo project car", it belongs to
mcchip-dkr and was developed to showcase the upgrade potential of a 911 Turbo S
which in its standard configuration delivers a more than generous 560 HP (412
kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of torque from its six-cylinder 3.8-liter engine.
When the stage 1 kit is applied, output is bumped to 600 HP (441 kW) and 820 Nm
(605 lb-ft) thanks to software optimization available for 3,499.
Stage 2 costs 10,285 and adds a Capristo sports exhaust
system which lifts the engine's output to 620 HP (456 kW) while torque remains
the same at 820 Nm. In this configuration, the 911 Turbo S will top out at 200
mph (322 km/h) whereas the standard version does 198 mph (318 km/h).
The tuner's stage 3 kit brings a custom turbocharger which
increases the engine's power to 660 HP (485 kW) and 850 Nm (628 lb-ft). It will
set you back 17,259 (including turbocharger installation) and will enable the
Porsche 911 Turbo S hit 203 mph (328 km/h).
