2015 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
Goes on sale next month
Mercedes has announced the 2015 C63 AMG will be priced from $63,900 when it goes on sale in the United States next month.
While the model costs $1,900 than the BMW M3, it comes nicely equipped with LED headlights, heated front seats and 18-inch alloy wheels. The car also has a Burmester Surround Sound system, KEYLESS-GO, Collision Prevention Assist Plus and ATTENTION ASSIST. Other notable highlights include a limited slip rear differential and an AMG Adaptive Suspension with three different modes.
Power is provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 469 bhp (349 kW) and 479 lb-ft (648 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission which enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h).
Moving up to the $71,900 C63 S rewards buyers with Nappa leather seats, red brake calipers and an AMG performance steering wheel. The model also has dynamic engine mounts and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Bigger changes occur under the hood as the twin-turbo V8 engine has been tuned to produce 503 bhp (375 kW) and 516 lb-ft (698 Nm) of torque. Thanks to the extra oomph, the dash from 0-60 mph takes 3.9 seconds and the top speed is an electronically-limited 180 mph (289 km/h).
Note: Prices exclude a $925 destination and delivery fee
