Barely driven 1984 Audi Sport Quattro to be auctioned next month

1984 Audi Sport Quattro

Estimated to get up to $475,000

A 1984 Audi Sport Quattro in great condition is set to go under the hammer next month at an event organized by RM Auctions.

It was driven for only 8,237 km (5,118 miles) and is believed to be one of the very few remaining fully original cars. It had two previous owners who took great care of what many consider as being Audi's most iconic car. Only 214 units were ever made and this particular car still has the original tools, jack, owner's manual and the extra set of racing belts.

The vehicle was recently serviced by an Audi dealership and as you can see it's in a very good condition both inside and out. Under the hood it has the legendary 2133cc five-cylinder turbocharged engine pushing out 302 bhp (225 kW) sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system through a five-speed manual gearbox. It also benefits from a fully independent front & rear suspension, front & rear anti-roll bars and four-wheel ventilated and slotted discs with four-piston calipers.

The car will be auctioned on January 16 and is expected to fetch anywhere between $350,000 and $475,000. At the same event, RM Auctions will also offer a 1989 Lamborghini LM002 estimated to grab between $175,000 and $225,000.
