Promises to be a more practical and family friendly version of the Cooper hatchback
Our spies have managed to snap new pictures of the five-door MINI Cooper.
Caught undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia, the model is a more practical and family friendly version of the Cooper hatchback. As a result, it has been equipped with shorter front doors and new rear doors which should improve access to the rear passenger seats. The model also appears to have a flatter roof and an extended wheelbase which should result in a more accommodating cabin.
Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model to expect choices to include:
- A 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol with 134 bhp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
- A 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel with 114 bhp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque
- A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol with 189 bhp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque
