Should have 550 HP (405 kW)
Development work continues on the Range Rover Sport RS as our spies have caught the model on the Nürburgring.
Designed to battle the BMW X5 M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, the Range Rover Sport RS is distinguished by an aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes. We can also see a revised rear bumper and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system. The model also has a sport-tuned suspension and a Brembo braking system with red calipers.
Power will likely be provided by the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that currently resides in the Jaguar XFR-S and XKR-S. This means we can expect it to produce 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. Considering the Range Rover Sport Supercharged accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds, the RS variant should accomplish the same task in approximately 4.8 seconds.
