Fernando Alonso test drives the LaFerrari [video]



Has a top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).


Ferrari has released a new video of Fernando Alonso test driving a LaFerrari prototype.




Alonso doesn't say thing in the clip, but Ferrari touts the fact that the F1 driver provided "valuable insights to the team of engineers and test drivers involved in bringing to life and developing this extraordinary car."




Speaking of the car, it features a 6.3-liter V12 engine that develops 800 HP (588 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. It is backed up by an electric motor which contributes an additional 163 HP (120 kW) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. This enables the LaFerrari to have a combined maximum output of 963 HP (708 kW) which allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than three seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph).
