Dodge has announced the 2014 Durango will be priced from $29,795 when it goes on sale later this year.
Recently unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the facelifted model has modified bumpers, a revised grille and restyled headlights that can be equipped LED daytime running lights. There's also "racetrack" taillights and restyled 18- to 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The cabin is significantly improved thanks to a new dashboard and a redesigned center stack that houses a 5- or 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system. The crossover also has a new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster and a revised center console with a rotary shifter and USB/AUX/SD card inputs.
The entry-level SXT variant comes nicely equipped with power windows / locks, a six-speaker audio system and tri-zone automatic climate control. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the range-topping Citadel boasts perforated Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and a power sunroof. The model also has a unique grille, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlamps and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The entry-level 3.6-liter V6 produces 290 bhp (216 kW) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque, while 5.7-liter HEMI V8 develops 360 bhp (268 kW) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque. Both are connected to a new eight-speed automatic transmission which delivers up to a 15 percent improvement in performance and fuel efficiency.
