Carlex Design has modified a BMW Z4 by applying a steampunk theme to create a truly special look.

We have always been impressed with the amount of detail found in Carlex Design's projects and this special BMW Z4 is no exception as you can easily see a lot of work was put into the roadster which now boasts a steampunk theme. Sourcing their inspiration from a sub-genre of science fiction, the specialists from Poland used a combination of what appears to be copper (or brass) for the roll bars behind the seats as well as for the door handles, transmission tunnel and sections of the dashboard.

The "Punk Z" seen here also mixes up Alcantara with various types of dark leather as well as cooper inserts on the steering wheel and speaker grilles. On the outside it wears a matte black wrap combined with a copper finish for the roof and those massive alloy wheels.

This isn't actually Carlex Design's first steampunk-themed project as back in October 2012 they applied a similar recipe on a MINI Countryman.
