BMW M2 artist rendering
The recently introduced BMW M235i will not be the crowing glory of the new 2-series range. The Bavarian automaker has bigger plans in the form of an all conquering M2. The artistic rendering shown here was completed by Virtuel Car and speculates what the final mode may look like from the rear three-quarter side.
BMW has kept pretty quiet on the development of the M2. The only confirmed evidence to surface so far has been the trademarking of the 'M2' moniker.
Power is rumored to come courtesy of the 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit with output rated at around 350 HP (257 kW). It will enable the coupe to accelerate from 0-100kph (62mph) in just 4.6 seconds which puts it in the realm of the wildly popular M3.
The BMW M2 is pencilled in for launch in 2015 and will cost approximately £45,000.
