Features revised styling and a new engine
Hyundai has unveiled the 2014 Elantra Sport at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Looking tastefully restrained, the Elantra Sport has a black chrome grille, LED-infused headlights and a body-color rear spoiler. The model also boasts chrome trim and two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.
The sporty styling carries over to the cabin as the model is nicely equipped with leather seats, alloy pedals andaluminum sill plates. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a six-speaker audio system and a 4.3-inch touchscreen display.
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter GDI four-cylinder engine that develops 173 bhp (129 kW) and 154 lb-ft (208 Nm) of torque. When connected to a six-speed automatic transmission, it enables the model to return an EPA estimated 24 mpg city / 35 mpg highway.
Last but not least, the Elantra Sport has a revised steering system and a sport-tuned suspension that includes stiffer springs and dampers as well as a larger front stabilizer bar.
