Porsche Macan returns for more camera action [video]

Baby Cayenne going on sale early 2014

The Porsche Macan has been spied once again before an official unveiling set for later this year, possibly in Frankfurt in September.

Riding on the Audi Q5 platform, the Macan is spotted here in the countryside driving around slowly. The vehicle will be more luxurious and sportier than the Q5 and will look a bit different than its bigger brother thanks to a sloping roofline, longer overhangs, bigger front grille and without creases on the hood.

Scheduled to go on sale early 2014, the Porsche Macan is likely to feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine producing 220 hp (164 kW), a V6 3.6-liter naturally-aspirated mill with 295 hp (220 kW) and a beefier V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo pumping 370 hp (276 kW) for the Macan Turbo. As far as diesels are concerned, we should see a 2.0-liter TDI with 190 hp (142 kW) and a V6 3.0-liter TDI providing 250 hp (186 kW).

It will come as no surprise if there will be a Macan Hybrid with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine working together with an electric motor with an estimated 54 hp (40 kW) output.
