Based on Ferrari 458 Spider
Pininfarina has unveiled today in Geneva the Ferrari 458 Spider-based Sergio Concept.
The concept was developed as a tribute to Sergio Pininfarina who passed away in July 2012 at the age of 85. It's based on the Ferrari 458 Spider but has a two-seater brachetta configuration. As you can see it lacks a windscreen but instead comes with two helmets. It has a new front spoiler and an aerodynamic deflector positioned in front of the cockpit. The roll bar has been designed as a wing surface, while the rear has circular taillights.
The interesting concept is 4550mm long, 1940mm wide and 1140mm tall. The two-door, two-seater has a 100-liter boot capacity and weighs approximately 1,280 kg (2,821 lbs). Power comes from a V8 4499cc engine linked to a sequential seven-speed transmission, propelling the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3.4 seconds, en route to a top speed of about 199 mph (320 km/h).
