Limited to 99 units
Following a couple of teasers launched last month, GTA has introduced in Geneva today the updated 2013 Spano which will be available in only 99 units.
Its soul is a supercharged V10 8.4-liter engine pumping out 900 HP (662 kW) and an electronically-limited 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) which enables the supercar to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in less than 3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h). Power is transferred through a 7-speed automatically sequential transmission with paddle shifters or via a 7-speed manual sequential.
It tips the scales at 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs) thanks to its carbon fiber body and rides on 19-inch front wheels with Pirelli 255/35 tires and 20-inch rear alloys with 335/30 rubbers. It adopts a double wishbone suspension on both axles and features multi-self-adjusting shock absorbers and electronically-regulated wing.
Stopping the car is an AP Racing carbon-ceramic brake system with 380mm ventilated discs and six-piston calipers. The monocoque is made from titanium honeycomb, carbon fiber and Kevlar which helps it have a reduced weight of just 80 kg (176 lbs).
More details are available in the attached press release.
