Opel/Vauxhall MPVs to use PSA platforms

Opel interim CEO Thomas Sedran has revealed the next-gen Insignia and Cadillac XTS replacement will be sister cars.

When General Motors Europe disclosed last month additional details about the tie-up with PSA Peugeot Citroen to make MPVs they didn't say anything about sedans. Now we have learned that the next-gen Opel Insignia and the replacement for the Cadillac XTS will be sister cars and are expected to come out towards the end of the decade.

In related news, the next generation of the Opel Corsa will be unveiled this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, before going on sale in April 2014. The Opel Antara will be out in spring 2015 and will use GM's Delta II platform.
