Outgoing model will soldier on in America

Audi has released some new details about the US-spec 2015 TT & TTS.

Based on the outgoing model, the 2015 TT will be offered with a new "S line plus carbon package" while the TTS can be equipped with a competition package that includes an Imola Yellow or Nimbus Gray exterior, a fixed rear spoiler and special alloy wheels. The latter package also includes Baseball Optic leather seats with Imola yellow accents and contrast stitching.

Moving on to the interior, both models come nicely equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel, heated front seats and 12-way power front seats. Options include a Bose audio system and GPS navigation.

The TT is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine that develops 211 bhp (157 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. It will enable the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds, while the roadster will complete the same task in 5.6 seconds.

The TTS variants also have a 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine but it produces 265 hp (197 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque. This allows the coupe to run from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, while the roadster is 0.2 seconds slower.

Regardless of which model is selected both the TT and TTS will be equipped with a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system.
