Gets 410 HP

Alpina has released new details about the upcoming third generation of the B3 ahead of the car's unveiling set for March in Geneva.

The model is based on the BMW 3-Series (F30) sedan and features an improved 3.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 410 HP (310 kW) between 5,500 and 7,000 rpm. Connected to a new 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF, the performance sedan needs four seconds to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run.

Aside from being more powerful than its predecessor, the 2013 Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo is also about 20 percent more fuel efficient as it can return 29.7 mpg US (35.7 mpg UK or 7.9 liters / 100 km).

More info will be available next month.
