Nostalgic Tail Kit Gives Corvette C7 a C6 Rear End Shape

The 2014 Corvette Stingray may have come with a new rear end but the guys over at corvetteitalia.it are not over its predecessor the, C6. They have come up with a Nostalgic Tail Kit for the C7 that gives it the rear of a C6. The kit which costs $2800 including shipping comes with a fiberglass rear end, C6 taillights, wirings and bulbs and also tools and diagrams.

However, according to the design structure of the rear of the C7, this kit could cause a number of problems including interfering with the C7 rear intakes designed to cool the differential and transmission by closing off the air exit points located on the outside of both tail lamps.

Amidst all of the hype regarding the launch of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray early last week, some interesting news managed to slip through unnoticed confirming that not all American-based Chevrolet dealers will receive the new Corvette to sell.

In what Chevrolet dealers claim is a first for the company, General Motors is forcing businesses to meet a sales-volume threshold to stock the car and those dealerships which failed to sell at least four Corvette's in 2012, will be left out from the new C7-generation Corvette.

Byron Hansen, from the Chevrolet dealership in Brigham City, Utah stated, "I don't anticipate getting the new Corvette this year, and many smaller dealers like me won't get it either.

Dealers also confirmed that they'll be unable to stock the new Corvette simply for eye-candy purposes.

Our complete envy of Jay Leno has just hit an all-time high, as the American talk-show host was recently given a one-on-one tour of the brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray by none other than GM's Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn.

The following red Corvette Stingray recently left the 2013 Detroit Motor Show and was quickly taken to Brown's Classic Auto dealership in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Jay Leno saw the car for the first time in the flesh.

Leno makes a very notable point that the Corvette C7 is a complete revolution over its predecessors, while all other Corvette models have simply been evolutions over their previous generations.

To top it all off, Jay Leno is also given the chance to be the first one to drive the car outside of GM and even though it may only be for a quick spin out of the dealership and around the block, it's definitely an opportunity almost any car enthusiast would be envious of!
