Jay Leno has the life many automotive enthusiasts dream about all their lives but rarely achieve. Not only does he have his very own chat show, which is viewed by hundreds of millions of people around the world, he also hosts the Jay Leno's Garage online web-series which takes a first-hand look at some of the most exclusive and fastest supercars currently on the market.
In the latest episode of the series, Jay Leno took a look at the Local Motors Rally Fighter, a car specifically developed and produced with endurance rallies mind, which concludes with him driving the car on local roads where it towers over almost anything any vehicle on the road.
The car is produced by little known firm, Local Motors in Chandler, Arizona and features a 6.2 liter GM-sourced V8 engine producing 430hp at 5,900rpm and 424lb-ft of torque at 4,600rpm. Couple that with a mid-engined layout, no ABS and no traction control, and the overall premise of the car being a stripped down, white-knuckled racer becomes evident.
